Booz Allen Hamilton, a leading provider of management consulting, technology and engineering services to the U.S. government, major corporations and not-for-profit organizations, today announced that the Brandon Hall Group has awarded it with its coveted Excellence in Learning Gold Award for the Best in Compliance Training category. Booz Allen Hamilton was honored for its results with their patented STAR*Phish™ awareness training process, which is part of Booz Allen Hamilton’s cybersecurity offering. A complete list of winners is listed at the Brandon Hall Group awards page.
The award recognizes Booz Allen Hamilton’s interactive STAR*Phish training program, which evaluates the effectiveness of pre-incident training to improve end-user performance against phishing attacks. STAR*Phish showed that sustained, unannounced and simulated experiences, when combined with short and targeted remedial training, works better than awareness bulletins and compliance training and induces behavior change in how users responded to phishing attacks.
“We are extremely proud to honor Booz Allen and our other 2013 award-winning organizations for their remarkable achievements,” said Mike Cooke, Chief Executive Officer of Brandon Hall Group, Inc. “This elite group of organizations excelled in developing measurable, sustainable programs that produced outstanding business results.”
The Brandon Hall Group Excellence Awards Program is one of the most prestigious awards program in the Learning, Talent Management and Sales & Marketing arena. The entries were evaluated by a panel of veteran, independent senior industry experts, Brandon Hall Group Sr. Analysts and Executive Leadership based upon the following criteria: fit the need, design of the program, functionality, innovation, and overall measureable benefits. This year’s honorees were picked from hundreds of entries from more than 20 countries.
“Phishing attacks are one of the fastest growing cyber security concerns, and organizations need focused training to stay one step ahead of threats, says Kevin Winter, Chief Information Officer at Booz Allen Hamilton. “Booz Allen is pleased that its cutting edge work in providing strong cyber hygiene services has been recognized by the Brandon Hall Group Excellence Awards Program, which is often acknowledged as the ‘Academy Awards’ of the learning, talent and business industry.”
