The Best Learning Game category is for learning games played on a personal computer.

  • More specifically, the Best Learning Game category is for computer games for workplace learning, custom-designed for a client. (The judges play and judge the actual games.)
  • (These learning games are also called immersive learning simulations. These are learning games in which the game structure or story is integral with the content.)
  • No learning-reinforcement games, such as quiz games, in which the game structure is independent of the content.

When is the entry deadline? April 29, 2011.

Who can enter? (a) A learning-game developer can enter alone, (b) an end-user organization can enter alone, or (c) a learning-game developer and an end-user organization can enter together.

What do you submit? A link to play your learning game online, or a link to download your learning game to play on a personal computer. (The judges click on the link you provide and play your learning game.)

  • What cannot be submitted? CDs or DVD’s cannot be submitted. No off-the-shelf learning games.

What is the entry fee? $575 US.
