Customer Focus Creates Financial Results for Turkcell
Turkcell recently broke the 1 million customer barrier, but this growth has presented some challenges. While completing the growth phase, ensuring customer loyalty, new customer acquisition, and the need to increase sales revenue have grown in importance. The new training program developed by Turkcell was targeted at the sales team, helping this group to develop a customer-oriented perspective through every action taken on a daily basis. This earned the Turkish telecommunications firm a Silver Award for Best Sales Training and Performance in the 2015 Excellence Awards.
DeFacto Retail Improves Candidate Experience with Technology
This case study highlights how DeFacto, a Turkish retailer, was able to implement technology to support its overall recruiting function. It was necessary to build a system where access to all information related to the recruitment process and answers to all applicant questions were available with a single click. Today, all candidates are much closer to the recruiting process, are able to monitor the process online, and can communicate with the company through the HROnline system. This program earned the firm a Silver Award for Best Advance in Interviewing Strategy in the 2015 Excellence Awards.

The Out of School Time Professional Development Center has a full catalog that includes hundreds of courses relevant to school age childcare, including the 36-course certificate series with in-depth curriculum content, interactivity, and certificates. Targeting High Potentials with the Education Leader Development Program
In order to prepare the next generation of students, we need to make sure school leaders are adequately developed and groomed for the proper leadership roles. This is the challenge confronted by Doğa Schools. The private educational institution identified competencies that make up the “New Generation Education Leader” profile and used the nine-box performance/potential grid to target the development of high potential leaders. The school is using re-registration rates and teacher turnover as methods for evaluating performance of its administration team. This earned the Turkish education firm a Bronze Award for Best Advance in High Potential Development in the 2015 Excellence Awards.

- Has any member launched a leadership development program for professionals in higher education? If so, what were they key “lessons learned?”
