Learning Tribes’ Video Learning Helps Beat Cultural Barriers for Capital One Agents Capital One was introducing a new credit card in partnership with Walmart. They needed to train more than 6,000 contact-center agents around the world to assist customers with the new credit card transition. Video training from Learning Tribes was identified as the most effective way to quickly train all agents in an immersive way to tackle all geographic and cultural barriers. Capital One and Learning Tribes were honored with a Gold Award for Best Use of Video in the 2020 Brandon Hall Group HCM Excellence Awards/

Best Use of Virtual Worlds for Learning

Swiss Federal Railways Uses VR to Safely Teach Electrical Safety Swiss Federal Railway’s Switching Off and Earthing App is a virtual training program, designed with the help of MPS Europa AG, where the user can execute various exercises related to electrical lines and power pylons in a virtual area. Employees get to experience real-life situations on the track area without getting exposed to the risks they face on-site, and training sessions can now be done more often as the participants don’t have to travel to specific locations in other regions of Switzerland. Schweizerische Bundesbahnen SBB (Swiss Federal Railways SBB) and MPS Europa AG earned a Bronze Award for Best Use of Virtual Worlds in the 2020 Brandon Hall Group HCM Excellence Awards.

Mike started his career at MicroVideo Learning Systems in 1992, eventually holding a senior management position and leading all corporate sales before founding Dynamic Minds. Mike was CEO and Co-Founder of Dynamic Minds, a custom developer of software programs, working with clients like Goldman Sachs, Prentice Hall, McGraw Hill and Merrill Lynch. Also, Mike worked for Oddcast, a leading provider of customer experience and marketing solutions, where he held a senior management position leading the company into new markets across various industries. Mike also serves on the Advisory Board for Carbon Solutions America, an independent sustainability consulting and carbon management firm that specializes in the design and implementation of greenhouse reduction and sustainability plans as well as managing the generation of carbon and renewal energy and energy efficiency credits.
