Guest: Dr. Kelly Morrow-Baez, Founder, The FitShrink
Host: Rachel Cooke, Chief Operating Officer, Brandon Hall Group
In this episode of HCMx Radio, we interview Dr. Kelly Morrow-Baez, a licensed professional counselor with a Ph.D. in psychology and more than 10 years in practice. Dr. Morrow-Baez, founder of FitShrink, is an author, wellness consultant, and private coach who is on a mission to change the way people think about getting healthy. She is a health motivation expert who has been featured in Dr. Oz Good Life Magazine, and she has added her expertise to articles in Reader’s Digest, Forbes, Teen Vogue, Parents, and more.
She shares strategies for goal setting, re-charging and re-energizing your mind, body, and spirit that you can apply right away in kicking off the new year and beyond.
The number one reason why most new-year resolutions fail is that people try to do too much too soon. Dr. Morrow-Baez suggests that you should start where you are. Even better, start on your worst day and create a lifestyle change that is realistic. Your program should begin modestly, but over time become more aggressive so that you reach your goals. Your plan should help you accomplish your goals to become fit mentally, physically and emotionally. You must have all three to reach your fullest potential in all that you do — in and out of the workplace.
