The AI Revolution in Enterprise Learning:
Leading, Not Following

In my many years in the industry, I’ve witnessed numerous transformations in the learning technology landscape. However, none has been as profound or as rapid as what we’re currently experiencing with artificial intelligence (AI). The acceleration is unprecedented and it’s separating the true innovators from those merely trying to keep up.

Innovation at an Unprecedented Pace

I recently attended Docebo Inspire and I’d like to reflect on Docebo’s technology announcement. The announcement was not just an impressive array of AI-powered features, but a testament to Docebo’s velocity of innovation. As an analyst who has evaluated hundreds of learning platforms, I’ve developed a discerning eye for distinguishing between flashy demos and substantive advancements. What I see from Docebo is the latter — genuine innovation delivered at a pace that would have been unimaginable just a few years ago.

Docebo has established itself as an “AI First” learning platform. They have delivered more innovation in the past 12 months than in the previous three years combined. This acceleration is directly attributable to their strategic AI investments and the strength of their product team. For large-scale enterprise learning platforms with established customer bases, this level of agility is remarkable.

      4. AI Neural Search

Docebo’s AI Neural Search employs neural networks and machine learning algorithms to understand the meaning and context of search queries. This leads to more relevant and accurate search results.

  • Semantic understanding:Instead of just looking for exact keyword matches, AI Neural Search can understand the intent behind the search query, even if the exact words aren’t present in the content. For example, searching for “how to give feedback” might also return results related to “performance reviews” or “constructive criticism.”
  • Content understanding:It analyzes the content itself to understand its meaning and relevance to various topics.
  • Improved discoverability:Learners can find the information they need more easily and quickly, leading to a better learning experience and increased efficiency.
  • Personalized results:Over time, the AI Neural Search can learn individual user preferences and search patterns, further refining the relevance of search results.

AI Neural Search makes finding relevant learning content within Docebo more intuitive and effective by understanding the nuances of language and the context of the content.

       5. AI Virtual Coaching

AI Virtual Coaching makes it possible to scale real one-on-one practice sessions, which are critical to successful skill development. This leads to improved learning outcomes, better performance, and more confidence. This feature uses similar AI avatars to the AI Video Presenter feature but makes them much more powerful:

  • Real-life scenarios: The AI avatar can be given a distinct role and personality, based on real personas and ICPs. This creates an authentic training experience that mirrors real-world scenarios.
  • Dynamic and interactive: The virtual coach responds to learners’ actual answers and behavior, creating a tailored learning environment.
  • Instant feedback: Learners receive detailed breakdowns from the coach, covering accuracy, delivery, task completion, strengths, and areas for growth.

The efficacy of one-to-one coaching has long been recognized, but the bottleneck has always been scalability. AI Virtual Coaching finally makes it possible for every learner to have their own personalized coaching experience.

      6. Harmony

Rather than a single AI model, Harmony operates as a collaborative framework where different AI layers and services work together. This enables real-time, contextual support and the automation of complex administrative tasks through natural language interaction. Harmony’s foundations are:

  • Integrated intelligence: Harmony brings together a powerful suite of AI capabilities—including Natural Language Processing (NLP), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and machine learning—natively embedded across the Docebo Platform.

From Assisted to Autonomous Learning

What’s most compelling about this transformation is the fundamental shift in how enterprise learning functions. Docebo is leading the evolution from assisted to autonomous learning environments, and from administrative-heavy processes to AI-intelligent systems that dramatically reduce overhead while enhancing outcomes.

At Brandon Hall Group™, we’ve long advocated for learning experiences that adapt to individual needs rather than forcing learners into rigid, one-size-fits-all programs. The innovations unveiled at Docebo Inspire represent the practical realization of this vision – technology that can finally deliver on the promise of truly personalized learning at enterprise scale.

Leading with Purpose

The final piece that resonated with me in the announcement was the emphasis on purpose-driven innovation. In our research, we’ve consistently found that learning technology is most effective when developed with clear outcomes in mind, not just for the sake of having the latest features.

The message was clear: this company isn’t just incorporating AI to check a box or keep up with competitors. They’re leading AI innovation specifically for enterprise learning applications, with a clear understanding of how these technologies can address real organizational challenges.

The Future of Enterprise Learning

As I reflect on what I witnessed at Inspire, I’m increasingly convinced that we’re at an inflection point in enterprise learning. The combination of AI capabilities, purpose-driven design and enterprise-grade scalability is creating possibilities that simply didn’t exist before.

For learning leaders, this means rethinking what’s possible within your organization. The limitations that previously constrained learning programs – content development capacity, language barriers and personalization at scale – are rapidly disappearing. The question is no longer whether technology can support your learning vision, but whether your vision is ambitious enough to leverage what technology now makes possible.

At Brandon Hall Group™, we’ll continue tracking these developments closely, helping organizations understand how to strategically implement these innovations for maximum impact. The future of enterprise learning is arriving faster than expected, and it’s more powerful than many imagined possible.

The gap between leaders and followers in learning technology adoption is widening and the cost of falling behind has never been higher.

Docebo has willingly embraced this challenge by throwing down the gauntlet and stating to the world they are now the market leader in the AI learning platform arena.

My final thought is not technology but people. It’s easy to lose sight of the human element. Docebo is an industry icon in technology, but their most important attribute is their people. The level of passion, commitment, and unwavering drive to uniquely serve their clients, is at the heart of Docebo. People helping people. This philosophy is what sets Docebo apart in the industry.
