Learning and development (L&D) must evolve into a data driven, evidence-based function. For L&D to be considered business-critical to the success of an organization, it must definitively show that learning is moving the needle on performance. Without a solid data and analytics foundation, L&D cannot make this happen. According to Brandon Hall Group research, the ability to measure the effectiveness of learning is the leading challenge for L&D organizations. Organizations need clear visibility into how learning is impacting business performance. Without this visibility, the ROI on learning is suspect and hampers an organization’s ability to properly allocate resources to L&D.
