Attrition-Resistant Knowledge Management at Genpact
This awards case study looks at Genpact’s effort to establish a complete system – consisting of people, process, technology, and governance – to ensure that knowledge management is applied systematically and effectively to improve business results. The effort earned Genpact a Gold Award for Best Use of Performance Support in the 2015 Brandon Hall Group Excellence Awards.
VA Promotes Anger and Irritability Management Skills (AIMS)
This awards case studies examines the Veterans Administration’s efforts to offer anger management services to veterans through a video-heavy, web-based course. The program, AIMS, assists veterans in defining anger trigger points, determining goals, and formulating personal plans that can be implemented to confidently identify and manage demanding anger situations.
3M Global Sales Skills Development
As with any global organization, the development of sales staff requires a multitude of competencies. 3M recognized that its sales learning development programs should include a solid understanding of their selling, buying, analysis and planning, sales management processes, industry knowledge and, of course, product and technical knowledge. The training, focusing on sales professionals and sales managers, used a blended approach to support both groups throughout the first year on the job. This earned 3M a Bronze Award for Best Program for Sales Training and Performance in the 2015 Excellence Awards.
Young Leadership Development at Viacom18
This awards case study features the development program for young leaders at Viacom18, a leading multi-media producer in India. The Young Leadership Development Program (YLDP) focuses on preparing high-potential middle managers for senior leadership roles. This program earned Viacom18 a Bronze Award for Best Advance in Leadership Development in the 2015 Brandon Hall Group Excellence Awards.
Microsoft and The Nemesis Project
This awards case study focuses on Microsoft’s Nemesis Project, which was designed to provide supplemental training that is current, relevant, and compelling. Through the use of a highly-stylized comic book story and art, Microsoft created a fresh, interactive learning experience to drive student interest and interaction. The initiative won a Bronze Award for Best Unique or Innovative Learning and Development Program in the 2015 Brandon Hall Group Excellence Awards.
Sales Training at Oppenheimer Funds
As a billion-dollar investment management firm, Oppenheimer Funds (OFI) knows the importance of having a trusted relationship with clients. At the same time, with competition increasing in this industry, there is a tendency to treat every provider the same. In order to combat this sentiment, OFI launched a sales training initiative to help its staff make building a trusted relationship a priority. This earned Oppenheimer Funds a Bronze Award for Best Program for Sales Training and Performance in the 2015 Excellence Awards.
Cognizant’s Social Media Etiquette Solution
This awards case study examines how Cognizant designed a stylized, attractive compliance course to help all employees – but especially Millennials – understand the repercussions of online posts revealing confidential information or inappropriate discussions regarding organizational matters. The initiative earned a Bronze Award for Best Advance in Custom Content in the 2015 Brandon Hall Group Excellence Awards.
Baker Hughes Successfully Pilots Performance
This awards case study focuses on Baker Hughes’ employees requiring information at their moment of need, no matter where in the world that might occur. The company set out to design a complete learning ecosystem for ongoing performance support to supplement formal training. This earned Baker Hughes a Bronze Award for Best Use of Performance Support in the 2015 Excellence Awards.
Ameritox Corp: The STARK Shark Challenge
This awards case study features the gamified compliance course that Ameritox and GP Strategies designed to ensure that the organization upholds all ethical and regulatory laws, policies, and standards in the industry, such as Stark and anti-kickback laws. Ameritox, a leader in medication monitoring solutions, set the course up as a reality TV show where the test is to “survive” while navigating through shark‐infested waters from STARK Shark Island to Ameritox‐land. The effort earned a Bronze Award for Best Advance in Compliance Training in the 2015 Brandon Hall Group Excellence Awards.
