Registration Now Open for the 2008 Innovations in Learning Conference

Registration is now open for the 2008 Brandon Hall Research Innovations in Learning Conference.

This event will take place September 25 and 26, 2008 at the Fairmont San Jose, in San Jose, California; with a pre-conference day of workshops planned for Wednesday, Sept. 24.


This year’s sessions will focus on new trends in learning, including the following:

  • Games and play
  • Blogs and wikis
  • New collaboration technologies
  • Video
  • Innovative hardware
  • Mobile learning


Topics for this year’s workshops include the following:

  • The Use of Games to Recruit, Motivate, and Train Young Workers
  • Design and Delivery of Online Learning for an Inter-generational Workforce
  • Visualization for Learning: Approaches, Tools, and Applications to Improve Effectiveness
  • Keeping Interactivity at the Center of Rapid Development

The Innovations in Learning Conference is a highly social event, with receptions, music, and fun interspersed with intense periods of learning. From the opening poolside reception to the closing dinner at a nearby winery, the conference is set up to foster conversations and build new relationships.


The winners of the 2008 Excellence in Learning Awards will be announced at the conference on September 25. Award finalists will be showing and discussing their entries throughout the conference. You’ll be able to talk to them one-on-one and see what the judges rated as the best.
