Building the Business Case for Video Interviewing

Video interviewing provides organizations with greater efficiency, reduced costs, and a positive candidate experience. The challenge most companies face, however, is gaining buy-in. Although video interviewing has become mainstream, business leaders are not always sold on its benefits or how it fits into the broader HCM technology landscape. With a 100% growth goal every five years, Eczacıbaşı Group – a Turkish manufacturing conglomerate – required well-prepared leaders that are drivers, not passengers, and who have the potential to shape the future of the group. With this in mind, the company developed a program that establishes a common management culture and approach, supports leadership development, the company’s innovation and sustainability processes, and provides the opportunities and environment needed for developing individual competencies.

Experiential Learning for Front Line Leaders at Genpact

Genpact is a fast-growing business process management organization and provides an environment of accelerated career growth for its employees. For the talent inflow it has, Genpact designed a program, called WAVE, to create a sustainable and scalable leadership development ecosystem at the front line leader level. The program fosters ongoing development linked to four key pillars: leadership fundamentals, customer management, people management, continuous improvement, and seamless operation.

DeFacto Retail Improves Candidate Experience with Technology

Candidate experience is a critical factor in a solid talent acquisition strategy. However, many companies do not make this a focus area. This case study highlights how DeFacto, a Turkish retailer that was able to implement technology to support its overall recruiting function. Today, all candidates are much closer to the recruiting process, are able to monitor the process online, and can communicate with the company through the HROnline system. The company has saved tens of thousands of dollars with the new approach, and its employer brand is stronger than ever.

Verizon Increases Trainer Efficiency with GEMS

Verizon’s Global Engagement Management System (GEMS) is a short messaging system (SMS) web-based application that captures the attendance of learners from various training environments (i.e., ILT, VILT and leader-led trainings), whether the learner is pre- or post-enrolled. Trainers can use GEMS to create a class code, capture attendance, and then transmit that roster into the internal LMS without ever needing to open another application, thereby greatly increasing trainer efficiency.

Increasing Learning Engagement with gomo Content Authoring

Used by companies such as dunhill, Grainger, and United Healthcare, gomo enables content creation and collaboration in a variety of ways. Content outputs are responsive, displaying appropriately regardless of screen size. In addition, built-in integration with xAPI ensures a rich data set that learning leaders can leverage for deeper insights into learning programs and results. One non-profit organization estimated a 30% savings in content development costs after implementing gomo’s tools.

One-on-One Coaching – Online

Socratic Arts is a $5 million learning education company based in Florida. The company has developed a technology solution providing learners an online, highly detailed and nuanced “Observe & Critique” learning activity that is open-ended and simple for busy professionals to use. The technology enables the richness of a one-on-one coaching experience in an online course that is accessible on a desktop or a tablet. This case study features the story of Vital Talk, a non-profit organization whose mission is to help nurture healthier connections between patients and medical clinicians. 95% of participants in the course would highly recommend it to colleagues.

Navigating Crucial Conversations with VitalSmarts

VitalSmarts offers four award-winning training courses – Crucial Conversations, Crucial Accountability, Influencer Training, and Change Anything. The goal is to make training simple for everyone. The company designed the VitalSmarts Instructional Platform (VIP) to create the ideal training experience for participants and to help every trainer – regardless of previous training experience – to train as effectively and as efficiently as possible. One customer, AT&T, uses Crucial Conversations-certified trainers to support employee needs, leading to a 20% increase in satisfaction and retention of key experts during a downsizing initiative.

Enabling Collaborative Learning at Lenovo

With the acquisition of the x86 server business in 2014, Lenovo quickly expanded its Enterprise Business Group (EBG), which includes server, storage and networking solutions. Lenovo also acquired over 7,500 new employees globally. The company selected Jive as its technology partner to create “The Pub,” an online community for collaboration and knowledge sharing. The pilot for the Pub generated double the participation and five times the number of users creating content as the industry standard for online community participation.

Creating a Complete Learning Process with Geenio

Geenio is a new, full-cycle learning system for creating a complete learning process, from content creation to final analysis of the results. One organization featured in this review, Accelerant Sales Group, utilized Geenio for new-hire sales training and reduced training time by senior employees by 60%, improved learning retention for specific items by 20%, cut the initial onboarding process from seven to three days, and increased sales made by employees who started using Geenio by 6%.

Curating Quality Learning Content with Curatr

Organizations use Curatr to rapidly create social learning courses online. From coaching new leaders and sales training to onboarding and executive development, over 100 organizations use Curatr to engage their learners, spread knowledge and change behavior. Delivered as a SaaS platform that organizations can customize and administer themselves, Curatr makes it easy to instruct, inform, and inspire learners using a gamified, social learning approach. 

Fitness First, G-Cube Create HTML5-Based Mobile Training

While the fitness industry is growing, it is also important to note that it is an industry that poses a number of workplace hazards. Fitness First realizes the importance of safety within its premises and wanted a learning solution that can be utilized by employees worldwide. Fitness First approached G-Cube to develop a solution that would present its employees with a unique learning experience and help them excel in their area of work. New employees see the program as a quick and effective way to learn about safety measures, which makes them confident in dealing with any emergency situation that may arise. 

Integrated Online Platform for Students in Chile

There is a flourishing need among Chilean schools to integrate technology as a means of improving performance. WebClass is an integrated learning management system that users can access and operate through the Internet, allowing schools to optimize their administration, curriculum, evaluation, and communication processes, while satisfying the needs of the school’s different existing roles.
